System and messaging terms · Effective 5 September 2026
These terms govern access to and use of the Crescent Academy Management System and its connected communication services.
1. Acceptance and authorised use
By accessing the system or using its services, a user agrees to these terms and to Crescent Academy’s applicable school policies. The system may be used only for authorised education, administration, finance and communication purposes. Access is personal and limited to the permissions assigned to the user.
2. Account security
Users must protect passwords, access codes and devices; sign out from shared devices; and report suspected unauthorised access promptly. Credentials may not be shared, sold or used to bypass permissions. Crescent Academy may suspend access where security, misuse or legal concerns arise.
3. Information and communications
Users must provide accurate information and may process personal information only for legitimate school purposes. WhatsApp, email and other communications must be lawful, respectful, necessary and sent only to appropriate recipients. Spam, harassment, impersonation, unauthorised advertising and disclosure of confidential records are prohibited.
4. Payments and records
The system assists with recording fees, payments, receipts and statements. Users must verify entries and report errors promptly. A system record does not replace bank confirmation, an applicable school agreement or a legal obligation.
5. Prohibited conduct
- Accessing another person’s account or information without authority.
- Copying, extracting, altering or distributing confidential information improperly.
- Introducing malware, probing security, disrupting service or attempting to defeat safeguards.
- Using the system for fraud, discrimination, threats, unlawful surveillance or any illegal activity.
6. Availability and changes
Reasonable efforts are made to keep the service available and accurate, but maintenance, connectivity, third-party platforms or unexpected faults may affect operation. Features and these terms may be updated when needed. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel.
7. Intellectual property
The system, original workflows, interface and Crescent Academy materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. No ownership is transferred to a user. Third-party services and components remain subject to their respective terms.
8. Responsibility and enforcement
To the extent permitted by law, users remain responsible for their entries, decisions and communications. Breaches may result in restricted access, investigation, disciplinary action, recovery of losses, notification to affected persons or authorities, and other lawful remedies.
